Thanks Julia — I am older (I think) than you but realized if I eat well and move consistently — and am compassionate my body will release the excess — mostly beacause I simply cannot starve anymore and I really have faith that over time (1,2,3 years…) I’ll get to a weight I prefer. I don’t eat junk nor sweets (not much — I am a pastry chef :), have my carbs early in the day and complex ones. I also eat more than I used to — I think I used to starve or do 1200 calories which always resulted in weight gain. Add walking, swimming, yoga and decent sleep. Anyway — no weigh ins but size are going down and I can feel the weight loss. You are right = we are all different and what works at 30 and 40 might not work at other times.
